artist statement

I believe in the quiet power of a good photograph. & I work best with people willing to do a trust fall. i photograph with my gut, waiting to pull the trigger until the timing is just right. quality over quantity is very important to me. every wedding unfolds differently and is informed by my fine-tuned intuition; it is so important that you give me space to read the room. true-to-life tones and a tight curation are my priorities when delivering a final product and i place an emphasis on print, because i believe your photos should live beyond a screen. i consider myself a photographer for the artists.

i don’t believe my photographs need a sales pitch. i’m damn good at what i do. it’s just a matter of if you connect with my work or not.

xx

at your wedding i’m fun. definitely awkward, sorry. but i’m also really good at my job. parents love me (why? i feel like i’m always sweating around them). while i am an introvert and that makes my shooting style quieter than most photographers, i know when it’s time to step in and be bossy. (maybe you need a little direction, maybe you need me to yell at your aunt during family photos).

at home i have a senior chihuahua, four cats, and two gerbils. i’m a homebody to my core & after owning a home i now understand why elderly people are always sitting on their porch. i am always sitting on my damn porch. i collect vintage cameras & i’m obsessed with meteorology.
