Aly Hansen is a New York wedding photographer by way of Richmond, Virginia primarily working with vintage film mediums. Her photo work evokes a natural sense of presence and she boasts her ability to catch you when the moment is just right. Her photographs are playful and nuanced, approaching each couple with care for their individuality & curiosity for their story. Rejecting shot lists, she doesn’t need one. And neither do you. All she asks for is your trust, giving her space to read the room and yourselves permission to experience your wedding day without pressure to perform a camera.
While her approach is as hands off as possible, she will step in and yell at your aunt during family photos if you need her to. It happens. Her team members are trained with the same care & command. When reaching out to us, Aly is who handles all communications.

The documentarian aspect of wedding photography is her favorite part of joining the industry and she effortlessly weaves her editorial and artistic flare into her candid approach.
