richmond film photography: contrast rva elopement

micro wedding at contrast rva in richmond, virginia
photographed on 35mm & instant film

I don’t know about you, but 1. didn’t know you could get married literally anywhere you wanted to, including an editorial-styled indoor studio (and in RICHMOND!!!) and 2. never thought I would photograph a private ceremony with zero guests because even with the elopements I photograph, I don’t encounter people who truly just bring themselves to the big day, even if the big day is just the courthouse. Yes you have to pay to rent out Contrast RVA but the price-point is EASY on the eyes and a no brainer for couples who truly want a modern, minimalistic and intimate wedding ceremony with priority on each other. Tolu and Olu were so fashionable for their special day it kinda blew my mind. Classy, vintage, editorial — just such a look. Tia of Hello Love RVA not only officiated the elopement? wedding? ceremony but designed and planned the whole thing, thanks to her nifty all-inclusive wedding services. Shoutout to Tia who is a good friend and colleague of mine in this lil wedding world in Richmond. More studio weddings, please!!!
